Currently, Bing Video Creator isn't available on desktop, and even in "fast mode" a video can take several hours to generate, though fast mode is meant to finish in minutes.Signed-in Microsoft account users can generate up to 10 videos free via the Bing app; beyond that, each video costs 100 Microsoft Rewards points, earned via Bing searches or Microsoft Store shopping — e.g. 5 points per PC search, capped at 150 points a day.Up to 3 videos can generate at once, each a fixed 5 seconds, with no length options yet. Videos are also limited to 9:16 vertical, aimed at social use, with 16:9 horizontal planned later.

META

Meta Automates Product Risk Assessment with AI

Meta plans to have a new AI system automatically handle about 90% of risk reviews for updates to apps like Instagram and WhatsApp, per internal documents seen by NPR.Under a 2012 FTC agreement, Meta must run a privacy risk review before any release — work long done mostly by hand. With the new system, teams answer questions about their work, and AI instantly judges risk and pre-release requirements.

This should boost efficiency, but a former Meta executive warned NPR that "AI alone may miss serious risks until they've already surfaced."A Meta spokesperson said: "We've invested more than $8 billion in privacy, balancing innovation with compliance."They added: "Our AI keeps improving in accuracy and speed, lifting the user experience too. We apply it to predictable, low-risk cases, while complex or novel risks still go to human experts."
