On May 16, Miichisoft welcomed strategic advisor Teruaki Yamamoto to our Hanoi HQ. He shared hands-on guidance on workflows, communication, and client-expectation management, reaffirming our role as a trusted IT partner in Japan and helping the team connect with real-world standards there.
About Advisor Teruaki Yamamoto
Mr. Yamamoto serves as Miichisoft's strategic advisor, shaping long-term direction through AI solutions and core strategy, and building a culture of continuous improvement that strengthens our standing as a trusted IT partner.

With 25-plus years at international consulting firms, he's well versed in complex ERP rollouts including SAP, plus experience running a SaaS startup and as a senior retail executive.Through this experience, Mr. Yamamoto brings Miichisoft both ground-level, practical advice and a forward-looking view, helping us steadily strengthen our skills toward being the trusted IT partner Japanese clients choose.
Deepening Our Understanding of Projects for Japan
With the dev team, Mr. Yamamoto reviewed ongoing Japan projects and gave practical, technical suggestions, helping the team pinpoint what matters most for meeting client expectations.

He shared:"On a large Japanese client project, what matters most is reading expectations and sentiment correctly at each phase — not just taking requests, but proactively proposing ideas and shaping them into something realistic and matched to the team's skill level."This exchange gave the team a deeper read on clients' real needs and clues for fixing execution issues — lessons sharpening Miichisoft and reinforcing our position as a trusted IT partner in Japan.
From Business Cards to Proposals: Sharpening Sales and Marketing Skills
Beyond tech advice, Mr. Yamamoto also trained our business and marketing teams on two key soft skills — business card exchange and presenting — under the theme of customer-centric thinking.

In Japan and much of Asia, exchanging cards signals respect and professionalism, not just information. He compared real scenarios with international norms to stress these details.

For presenting, he stressed focusing on key phrases to land a clear message quickly, enabling accurate two-way communication — a reminder that consideration for the listener plus a simple message is what builds trust.
