Top 10 Mobile App Development Languages!

There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to which mobile app development programming language to learn or which framework to invest in. There are more than 6,900 languages in the world, but only a handful are actually used to build mobile apps. In this article, we introduce the top 10 mobile app development languages.
1. iOS
1.1. Objective-C

Objective-C is the primary programming language used to create software for OSX and iOS. It is a superset of the C programming language, providing object-oriented features and a dynamic runtime.
Objective-C inherits the syntax, primitive types, and flow control statements of C, and adds syntax for defining classes and methods. It also adds language-level support for object graph management and object literals, while providing dynamic typing and binding, deferring many responsibilities until runtime.
1.2. Swift

Swift is a general-purpose, open-source programming language designed by Apple. It is influenced by Python, and it is fast and intuitive. Swift is used mainly for native iOS and macOS development.
2. Android
2.1. Python

Python is an interpreted, object-oriented, high-level programming language with dynamic semantics. Its high-level built-in data structures, combined with dynamic typing and dynamic binding, make it very attractive for rapid application development, as well as for use as a scripting or glue language to connect existing components together.
2.2. C#

C# is a modern, object-oriented, type-safe programming language. With C#, developers can build a wide variety of secure, robust applications that run on .NET. C# has its roots in the C family of languages and will feel immediately familiar to C, C++, Java, and JavaScript programmers.
2.3. C++

C++ is a cross-platform language that can be used to build high-performance applications. It was developed by Bjarne Stroustrup as an extension of the C language. With C++, programmers have a high degree of control over system resources and memory.
The language has undergone four major updates — C++11, C++14, C++17, and C++20 — released in 2011, 2014, 2017, and 2020.
2.4. Java

Java is a popular programming language created in 1995. It is owned by Oracle, and more than 3 billion devices run Java. It is used for:
- Mobile applications (especially Android apps)
- Desktop applications
- Web applications
- Web servers and application servers
- Games
- Database connectivity
2.5. Kotlin

Kotlin is a general-purpose, free, open-source, statically typed "pragmatic" programming language that combines object-oriented and functional programming features. It was originally designed for the JVM (Java Virtual Machine) and Android, and it focuses on interoperability, safety, clarity, and tooling support.
3. Summary
There are many kinds of apps you can build using the languages above — chat messengers, music players, games, calculators, and more. There is no single language that can be called the "right language" for mobile app development. So it's up to you to choose the right language based on the goals and preferences of your individual project. Whatever you choose, remember that it will expand your skill set and help you grow as a mobile app developer.
